MID-WEEK PRACTICE BULLETIN

Welcome to Round 3 of the Ricmotech World Challenge which takes us Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, using the Grand Prix Pits configuration. This week we have a 90-minute enduro race so be sure to consider your fuel strategies accordingly! Also, at this time we plan to leave the qualifying time at 15 minutes for the 4 laps, so do not dilly dally in starting your qual laps.

Please see the start zone below. Note in particular that the START line is further down the track, not where the FINISH line is located. You cannot move out of your column to pass until you get to that starter stand where the sign goes over the track. Some of you will be starting from back in the chicane. You MUST be patient. You cannot pass for a long ways and the car behind you cannot pass you. So there is no need to smash the gas pedal when you hear the "GREEN" call.

Please practice your starts and doing Eau Rouge side-by-side. You are likely to have to do it on the opening lap. I would also strongly urge all drivers NOT to fall into the temptation to create a 3-wide situation approaching Eau Rouge. A driver who decides to do that and if it results in a wreck is going to face penalties not just in this race. Protypes should give some study to how to time their approach to Eau Rouge in GT3 traffic such that you don't have to pass until the top of the hill, and ideally you can set up the pass on the left side at the top. Plus there is a long straight to power by anyway, so no need to be clipping the bumpers of the GT3 cars at the top.
