MID-WEEK PRACTICE BULLETIN

Welcome to Round 2 of the new season and it should be a thriller at Canadian Tire - Mosport! Taking advantage of practice this week will be critical to putting on a great race for the fans watching on-line. We know that Turn 2 is very challenging for side-by-side racing and mixed class passing situations -- please practice those scenarios. Please make note about the short-straight between Turns 2 and 3 and mixed-class passing there. Prototypes will want to pass on the right when GT3s move left to set up for Turn 3...but a GT3 car looking to attack another GT3 car into Turn 3 might not move left. Prototype drivers will need to assess the racing situation carefully. And then most critically - please work with each other to practice group racing down into Moss Corner. Prototypes should not plan to pass in the little short chute there, wait until the exit.

A word about the amount of contact in Round 1: Please keep in mind our overall goal is provide the high quality racing experience you all want. We want you to get your full 75 minutes of racing after you've put in all that practice. But that means we must penalize incidents when they happen - and it's not a matter of "intent" it's a matter of "what happened." Drivers need to carefully think about whether a high-risk, low percentage pass is really worth trying to maybe gain 2 championship points. As we will explain in more detail, for drivers who wreck another driver, we will be enforcing a stricter policy of requiring them to start from the back of the field in the next race.

Deadline for submission of any paint changes for broadcast is 12:00PM Eastern / 04:00PM GMT on Sunday. You may continue to submit, but any files received after that time will not be added to the paint pack until after Monday's race.
