SEASON 8, ROUND 5 - LONG BEACH

RACE: MONDAY, MARCH 3

BROADCAST: 8:10PM EST

Welcome to Season 8, Round 5

We are California Dreaming for Round 5 of the Ricmotech MiniMite Sportscar Challenge with a pair of 35-minute sprint races at Long Beach! Drivers need to put some effort into figuring out how you are going to navigate that opening lap door-to-door with others in the class. The cement walls here are unforgiving. A wreck at the fountain can wreck or stop nearly the entire field. Mixed-class passes in some of the tight, narrow areas can be especially challenging.

So with all of that said, be sure to use some of the practice time this week working with others to test passing opportunities and door-to-door racing scenarios at several points around the track.

The broadcast looks best when everyone has a paint submitted. It doesn't have to be fancy. And we have folks who will be happy to help you create a paint if needed. Just speak up on the Discord server.

OFFICIAL PRACTICE SCHEDULE

WEDNESDAYS: 5PM-7PM, 7PM-9PM EASTERN TIME

THURSDAYS: 8PM-10PM, 10PM-12AM EASTERN TIME

SUNDAYS: 4PM-6PM, 6PM-8PM, 8PM-10PM, 10PM-12AM EASTERN TIME

(Each official practice is based on the last 2 hours of the 4-hour race day session.)

30 Laps (Complete the minimum laps between all 8 practice sessions and earn a bonus point for this Round).

START ZONE:

2:30 PM: IN-SIM PRACTICE

4:15 PM: IN-SIM QUALIFYING (4-LAPS, 15 MINUTES)

4:30 PM: IN-SIM RACE 1 START

IMPORTANT PAINTS REMINDER

Deadline for submission of any paint changes for broadcast is NOON Eastern / 05:00PM GMT on Saturday. You may continue to submit, but any files received after that time will not be added to the paint pack until after Monday's race.
