SEASON 8, ROUND 4 - PHILLIP ISLAND

RACE: MONDAY, FEB 17

BROADCAST: 8:10PM EST

Welcome to Season 8, Round 4

Round 4 of the Ricmotech MiniMite Sportscar Challenge brings us a 60-minute race at Phillip Island. We typically have great races here. Let's improve upon our Mosport performance by really putting in some good practice dealing with cold-tire starts here. In particular, we know turn 2 is tricky because cars will tend to push right opening the door to the inside (left) only to have the sliding car re-grip and turn into the apex. Also need to be ready for over taking in the braking zone for turn 7, and mixed-class racing in turns 9 and 10.

NOTE: as a test, I set up the first practice on Wednesday to end with a 10-minute race. If you are in the session by 6:40pm eastern time you should be able to participate in the short race if you want. You'll just have to use the iRacing Green for that one.

The broadcast looks best when everyone has a paint submitted. It doesn't have to be fancy. And we have folks who will be happy to help you create a paint if needed. Just speak up on the Discord server.

OFFICIAL PRACTICE SCHEDULE

WEDNESDAYS: 5PM-7PM, 7PM-9PM EASTERN TIME

THURSDAYS: 8PM-10PM, 10PM-12AM EASTERN TIME

SUNDAYS: 4PM-6PM, 6PM-8PM, 8PM-10PM, 10PM-12AM EASTERN TIME

(Each official practice is based on the last 2 hours of the 4-hour race day session.)

30 Laps (Complete the minimum laps between all 8 practice sessions and earn a bonus point for this Round).

IMPORTANT PAINTS REMINDER

Deadline for submission of any paint changes for broadcast is NOON Eastern / 05:00PM GMT on Saturday. You may continue to submit, but any files received after that time will not be added to the paint pack until after Monday's race.
