SEASON 8, ROUND 4 - CANADIAN TIRE

RACE: MONDAY, FEB 3

BROADCAST: 8:10PM EST

Welcome to Season 8, Round 3

This week, Round 3 of the Ricmotech MiniMite Sportscar Challenge takes us to Canadian Tire for DUAL 35-MINUTE SPRINT RACES. The first race grid is set by the usual method of qualifying. The second race grid is set by the finishing order of the first race and with an inversion of the TOP 5 in LMP3 and the TOP 10 in GT4.

It is critical that you be able to hear and you listen carefully to the Race Stewards instructions because we are using the HEAT RACING feature and that means we have to MANUALLY SORT THE GRID for the second race.

Please use the practice sessions this week to make sure you can take a lot of the corners while off line - especially Turn 2 and Turn 4. Traffic is going to be heavy not just on the opening lap but likely through most of the race. Practicing taking many of the corners side-by-side will pay off huge dividends during the race.

The broadcast looks best when everyone has a paint submitted. It doesn't have to be fancy. And we have folks who will be happy to help you create a paint if needed. Just speak up on the Discord server.

OFFICIAL PRACTICE SCHEDULE

WEDNESDAYS: 5PM-7PM, 7PM-9PM EASTERN TIME

THURSDAYS: 8PM-10PM, 10PM-12AM EASTERN TIME

SUNDAYS: 4PM-6PM, 6PM-8PM, 8PM-10PM, 10PM-12AM EASTERN TIME

(Each official practice is based on the last 2 hours of the 4-hour race day session.)

30 Laps (Complete the minimum laps between all 8 practice sessions and earn a bonus point for this Round).

4:15 PM: IN-SIM QUALIFYING (4-LAPS, 15 MINUTES)

4:30 PM: IN-SIM RACE 1 START

IMPORTANT PAINTS REMINDER

Deadline for submission of any paint changes for broadcast is NOON Eastern / 05:00PM GMT on Saturday. You may continue to submit, but any files received after that time will not be added to the paint pack until after Monday's race.
