Ricmotech Classic Sprint Series Season 22 Wrap-up

The Classic Sprint Series completed its Season 22 on December 5th, in memorable fashion, as it was the last season as a single car series. The Toyota GR86 will be joining the series in May of 2023 bringing it back to it's original multi-class days. What an exciting finale these Mazda's put on for their final event, one certainly worth going back and watching.

Although Robert Hartley stole the show and took the win in Pro Class at the finale a one Mr. John Allen was able to manage his 4th Championship in the series inching out Robert Hartley by 6 points.

Over in AM class the finale battle heated up between veteran CSS driver Jeffrey Cranston and newcomer to the series David Payne with Jeffrey accomplishing the win. Mike Taylor who was experiencing mechanical issues with his sim prior to the finale and was unable to attend, however, he had enough points banked from his season of 2 wins and 8 top 5's that he was able to secure the championship title.

The series for 2023 returns on May 1st with a new name and new logo as we return to multi-class racing with the Mazda MX-5 and Toyota GR86. These new classes will be a thrill to watch as testing has already begun.
