XMS FALL SEASONS APPROACHING

Season 7 – Ricmotech miniMite Sportscar Challenge
XMS Racing is excited to introduce an evolution of the Ricmotech Sportscar Series for a new season launching on August 26, 2024. Season 7 will be branded as the Ricmotech miniMite Sportscar Challenge. Ricmotech Racing Simulators returns as the title sponsor of the series, featuring their terrific miniMite direct drive steering system. The SCCA Foundation returns at the Race Steward Sponsor as well as Buttkicker. Additional sponsorship opportunities starting at $200 are available, just contact a league admin for more information.
MSC Season 7 will feature two classes: LMP3 (1 car), and GT4 PRO/AM (5 cars). Each race will be broadcast live by Apex Racing TV and coverage will feature these two classes with the PRO and AM Divisions of GT4 as in prior seasons.
Every round of Season 7 will be comprised of two 35-minute sprint races. Qualifying will be 4-lap lone qualifying. The starting order for the second race of each round will invert the top half of the finishing order of the first race for each class.

Season 11 – Ricmotech World Challenge
XMS Racing is pleased to announce that Season 11 of the Ricmotech World Challenge will launch on September 9, 2024. Ricmotech Racing Simulators returns as the title sponsor of the series. The SCCA Foundation returns at the Race Steward Sponsor. Additional sponsorship opportunities starting at $200 are available, just contact a league admin for more information.
RWC Season 11 will feature three classes: GTP (4 cars), LMP2 (1 car), and GT3 (8 cars). Each race will be broadcast live by Apex Racing TV and coverage will feature these three classes.
The “Amateur” program for the GT3 class is changing as follows: XMS Racing is providing an “AM” option for GT3 drivers by which AM Division season championship awards can be earned. But for purposes of the broadcast AM will not include special branding or distinctive car trims (mirrors and endplates), it will not be identified separately on the scoring pylon, will not be part of the post-race interviews, outside of the Finale where the winner will be interviewed. Any GT3 driver who wants to compete in the AM Division must use a 200 series number: 2##. Car numbers in the two hundred range will be the indicator of an AM Division driver. This change is necessary to accommodate a new class (LMP2) while keeping the broadcasts manageable.
Races will continue to be 75 minutes or 90 minutes along with 4-lap lone qualifying. Depending on available information about the impact on graphics card performance, the admins may declare up to two races as “rain” races in which case only light rain will be used and only part (the start or end) of the race will feature light rain.
